How local space lines can help us choose neighborhoods

The ACG lines, birth chart angles, relocated charts, and parans— are all useful when it comes to travel and relocation planning. However, there’s another Astrocartography tool called local space lines that enables us to look into micro-locations.

Some of my local space lines in Madrid, where I live. I’m currently on Neptune & Uranus local space lines, which have been phenomenal for creativity but challenging in other ways.

What are local space lines & how do they differ from ACG lines?

Astrocartography can give us insight into the energies we experience on both a global level and a local level.

When looking at locations on a global level, we look at planetary lines (ACG lines) and the angles that they fall on (AC, IC, DC, & MC.) These lines are calculated based on planet positions at the time of birth.

However, when looking at locations on a local level, we look at local space lines. These lines are calculated based on the direction a planet is moving relative to where you were born. Local space lines can have a strong impact because they are tied to your orientation in space. Think of a directional flow of planetary energy in your immediate physical environment—that’s how local space lines essentially work.

The different local space lines could indicate a range of energies and experiences in a specific neighborhood.

Here are some examples…

  • A Venus ♀️ local space line could be supportive when it comes to relationships, love, and creativity.

  • A Mars ♂️ local space line could be ideal for exercising, as well as gaining energy and drive. But these areas could also attract some conflict.

  • A Sun ☀️ local space line could be a good place to boost your mood

  • A Uranus ♅ local space line is typically excellent for attracting change and getting out of a rut. Entrepreneurship, technology, and activism movements can also thrive here.

Important things to consider

You need to know the condition of each planet and luminary in your birth chart before knowing if a line is right for you.

For example, a Venus line, despite its positive associations, does not feel the same for everyone. This applies to all local space lines and ACG lines.

I’m a firm believer that the neighborhood you choose to live in or spend your time in can have a major impact on how you feel. That’s why I highly encourage my clients to have me look into their local space lines when deciding where to move. It could also be incredibly helpful to look into your local space lines before deciding to call it quits and move elsewhere because it could very well be that it’s the neighborhood that’s not compatible energy-wise.
